Chambre des Échos is an exhibition space within the Palais de Tokyo, Paris. IDK designed the exhibition and led the associated workshops for La Cité du Turfu in collaboration with Dome Collectif and the ASAD association.
The exhibition brings together speculative work by teenagers from La Courneuve, who used science fiction and participatory storytelling to reimagine the future of the Mail de Fontenay, a building facing demolition as part of the urban redevelopment of the Cité des 4000. The design gives spatial form to the project's ambition to celebrate marginalised knowledge and local stories, creating an environment capable of holding together diverse creative outputs produced through collective imagination and community engagement.
As the Mail de Fontenay nears its disappearance, the exhibition offers a temporary echo of it — a space where the visions of its community can be seen, heard, and shared before the building is gone.
